The Jackson Project is a 501(c)(3) public charity formed in the State of Texas in 2014. The organization is formed in honor of Jackson Wallace, affectionately known as J-Bird, who fought a fatal form of Leukodystrophy called Krabbe Disease.
The organization is dedicated to positively impacting the quality of life for families affected by Leukodystrophy, and through the generosity and support of our community we accomplish this in a number of different ways:
- Financially support families in obtaining the equipment or services they need to best care for those affected.
- Raise awareness about Krabbe, other Leukodystrophies, and the critical role of Newborn Screening.
- Partnering with the Leukodystrophy Care Network which aims to revolutionize the health and quality of life of individuals affected with proactive, innovative, and comprehensive medical care standards and specialized centers of excellence
